I’m Dr. Walsh from Naples Plastic Surgery. As we age, our necks often show signs of sagging skin and excess fat, resulting in infamous turkey waddle or double chin. Here’s how it works. We start by making small, discrete incisions behind the ears and under the chin, granting access  to the underlying tissues. Then we meticulously reposition and tighten the neck muscles, removing excess fat if necessary. This step restores a smoother and more youthful contour to the neck. Once the muscles are adjusted, we carefully re-drape the skin, removing any excess tissue. The incisions are closed with great precision, resulting in minimal scarring that typically fades over time.

Recovery from a neck lift is generally well tolerated. You might experience some bruising and swelling, which will gradually subside over the next few weeks. Most patients can return to their normal routine within a week or two, feeling more confident and refreshed.
