Dramatic weight loss, aging, and a loss of skin elasticity can all lead to sagging skin around the thighs. Sagging thighs can cause patients to be self-conscious and instill a negative body image, especially when exercise, diet and healthy living fail to rectify the condition. A thigh lift— “thighplasty”—removes excess fat and tightens skin around the thighs to restore the contours of the legs. Hi, I’m Dr. Bonett, and today we’re talking about thigh lift. Many people come to us with concerns for excess skin or sagging skin of their thighs and this is often confined to the inner or the outer portion of the thighs and when there is excess skin often liposuction is not powerful enough to deal with this laxity and sagging skin.
In this case a thigh lift is necessary. In some cases we may be able to perform a short scar thigh lift where the scar is a little bit shorter and hidden up near the top of the thigh. During our consultation we’ll decide if you’re a better candidate for a short scar thigh lift or a full thigh lift and we’ll choose the option that’s best for you to provide a more defined Contour of your thighs.

Thighplasty in Naples
Prior to any procedure, Dr. Baccaro, Dr. Walsh and Dr. Bonett meet with patients on a confidential one-on-one basis in order to get know the patient and fully determine his or her aesthetic goals. This results in the formation of a personalized treatment plan designed to help the patient achieve maximum results from their plastic surgery experience.
A thighplasty can include an inner (medial) thigh lift, an outer thigh lift, or both. As suggested, the former is designed to address the contours of the inner thigh, while the latter takes care of proportioning the outer thigh. Our surgeons can perform the outer thigh lift in conjunction with the tummy tuck procedure, in a combination known as an extended tummy tuck. In select patients, both procedures can be performed simultaneously.
With both thigh lift procedures, the surgeon carefully determines and marks incision sites based on contouring/surgical needs and to ensure minimal visible scarring. The use of liposuction for the removal of excess fat deposits may be recommended for some patients. When possible, the procedures will be combined, but in some cases the liposuction may have to be performed first as a separate procedure several months prior to the thighplasty.

Dr. Gardner is simply masterful and a kind soul. He takes great pride in his work and has the experience and expertise to take initiative to achieve the best outcome for patients beyond expectation, often having to adapt to unexpected obstacles from patient history. Experiencing significant pain I went to see Dr. Gardner as a repeat patient, expecting a routine implant revision due to a failure of a fifteen year old reduction procedure. Instead, Dr. Gardner had to remove a significant growth and essentially rebuild the sins of the past into results that realistically were better than had ever presented in my youth, all with minimal incisions and recovery. Very pleasant to work with
I am very happy with my experience with Naples plastic surgery and will definitely use them again in the future! I had breast implants that were 34 years old and I had them replaced by Dr Walsh. Believe it or not even after all that time one of the implants was still fully intact when he took it out, the other one had begun to show signs of gumminess from age.
